"And how did folks settle it exactly?"

"Wha...?" Les turned to see Lucendez moving up to his side. "Oh, didn't think I was talkin' that loud. Anyway, when me and a friend or brother were at odds we used to step out back, alone, and punch it out until one or both of us couldn't stand anymore. Then we'd head beck inside and have a drink together."

Les stuffed out the cigar in the palm of his hand when he noticed his brother's wrinkled nose.

"At any rate," said Lucendez, "I was wondering if we could get some practice in? Apparently I need to learn to dodge more, aim less. I guess my time fighting toy soldiers of the house militias dulled my combat prowess."

Moore grunted. "Practice. Yes, we should be preparing instead of squabbling."

"Listen, I don't care what is said in that damnable bar," Lucendez offered in an attempt to calm Moore's annoyance, "Ares and Gentle are both good pilots, I just hate to see them at odds. So, got a minute, brother?" Lucendez motions to Moore's Titan, a look of determination on a broadening smile.

The smile is returned with a grin and a laugh. "I believe I do have a minute brother."

The Corsair pilots climb into their Titans and lift off.
