Who would suffer? Since the Cardiff facility is at present the sole Beryllium mass producing facility (given BMM's operations in the Tau 23 system have all but shut down due to the war), any facility requiring large quantities of Beryllium would suffer. The only other source is Java, but due to heavy Outcast presence there, it does not produce much. As a result, Beryllium prices would spike.

I imagine some of the local powers might seek to convert a few smelting facilities to supply their own and seek to purchase raw ore. Beryllium is an essential metal for the construction of reactors and ship engines. Kusari would likely either demand to be supplied from Java (which the IMG would have no choice but to agree to).
BMM might establish some refineries in orbit of, or on Cambridge as the demand soars. IMG would be none too happy with the competition but their first concern would be the Cardiff station. Not sure the Gaians would be pleased either...

IMG meanwhile would request disaster relief aid from parties that can offer it. Cryer, medical ships, Bretonia, likely the Zoners as well. Aland could take in any crew that need to be moved while the station is undergoing repairs - That or a temporary home on planet Cambridge. Aland would also produce the neccesary parts to initiate station repairs. ALG might also play a role in producing parts for the rebuild. We'd ask Gateway to reserve some shipping capacity for this purpose.

Finally, the extra activity could attract the attention of the Corsairs. With the BAF stretched in terms of manpower, IMG would need to run it's own security - perhaps requesting assistance from it's Colonial allies, now they can enter Bretonia again (might even go as far to offer them the use of the base for Beryllium mining if they wished to, once it's operational again. CR's mining bonus to Beryllium is good, and they are the only mining enabled faction with Beryl bonus that can drop it at the sell point: The Ring).
