Regarding friends, you were referring to nomads becoming public as something everyone wants, and that's not truth. There is no problem in it being discussed.

Gallia is complicated problem, because no matter how much it sucks only Igiss can do anything. I'm also not happy with it, but this Is one thing everyone has to adapt to. If nomads become greatest sirius enemy mk2 storyline will be simply stupid.

This doesn't stop them from taking any particular side in the conflict though, which can get extremely interesting...
But this is discussion for another thread.
