I wonder where are the BHG| in house space, the house space that crawls with pirates has all these modern mercenary groups around that there is rarely a bounty hunter to be seen, except rarely in Bretonia.

Short of men or just inactive ?

It's more of a question out of curiosity since I don't see you lot doing your job around.

It's a matter we're trying to fix. Right now we re working on some reorganisations so we are kind of busy with other things. But what you say is (partly) true. There are not a lot of active house hunters. (or core players for that matter)

Reasons for the lack of House hunters, I think, are the following.

- people just cba to read through all the bounties, look for the target online, hope it`s there, try to find it, ss like mad to obey all the rules, shoot the target, take more ss, and then go to forumlancer to claim. and god help you if you forget to claim. because then sanction lancer comes into play. I for one think it has a certain charm. But most people want to play the game, not do all kinds of chores offline just to play their character. let alone fly through 5 systems only to see their target hug a base and dock when his shield drops.

- People want quick and easy pvp. And being a bounty hunter, in contradiction of populair belief, does not offer this. (see above). So people make a navy ship or pirate ship instead and get cracking.

- Being a merc is far more attractive. the bounties are usually higher. You can work for pretty much everyone, inlcuding getting stuck in house wars. You can fly almost any ship if you pull some right strings. This explains your 'mercenary group' observation. Why use a Manta with bucks if you can get a Sabre with Krakens? (just an example)

- A lot of lawfulls tend to say 'sod off, we can handle it' and traders barely ask for escorts any more. Add to that the fact that some bounty placers / employers simply do not pay and you know why playing a BHG is not that appealing.

So yes, we are short on players and we have very few active ones. The main issue? I think bounty hunting is too much of a chore to players. Whether it is, I won't debate here as it does not fit the scope of this feedback thread. Fact is, some people even think it's too much trouble to write an action report once a week so there you have it...

We are looking for active house hunters. dedicated players like back in the S/D days. But so far we haven't found a lot.

So, 'doing our job' is a tad hard when you mostly fly alone and get 3 cap 8 ku ex on your arse going 'dai bhg'
