i would not call codies efficient far from it imo more than one on a ship is jus way to much energy being chewed up. in a long battle i find energy is key if im able to fire any of my weps at any given time its a fine setup, if i need to stall for 5 seconds to wait for my energy to recharge its a no no one of em has to go. That stall can be the diffrence of you keeping the opponents shield regen down and them getting theyre shields bak up to full and having a advantage ESPECIALLY during a multiple personnel fight.

i find codenames to be good for a one off shot to take a decent mount of dmg away i dont see the point when i pass by a fighter strapped to the teeth with em i jus think to myself that is rather silly

yet again just my opinion on em
