I like the general shape, but like i told zelot, perhaps just to make it a bit more obvious, add some kusari-ness to the mesh in to form of the purple winglets you see on every kusari ship. HOWEVER, there is a catch. dont make the winglets large and prominent like they are on every kusari ship, but more as decorative/ornamental pieces.

regarding the textures, i personally think you have a bit of a challenge in front of you. if you add too much white, you'll make the ships too generic and dull to look at. if you add too much brown, it'll look TOO kusari. you want to have the right balance of white:brown, but at the same time make up by using ALOT of decorativeness in the form of trims, designs, texturing tricks, symmetry + texturing, etc to get the perfect texture job.

about the gunship, for now i think you should just focus on the snub craft first, and ill leave it at that for now.
