Okay, this will be hard to understand. I'll try to make it all clear so you get the complete picture:
Dublin is going to burn, prepare for it. We had some anti BMM operations in our mind and the plans were sped up after yesterdays BMM incident in which a BMM miner had two of our boys killed by Corsair bombers. There is no real proof that would be of any use in a trial but the IMG Defence Wing pilots involved are sure. I am sure, 100 %.
Everything, all our secret efforts to harm BMM, would have stayed covert, NLH would have targetted BMM, some other groups would have focussed on hurting BMM to pay back what they did, but something else happened.
IMG Defence Wing pilot Melfina Korzic reappeared. Background: I saw her die by the hands of IMG Defence Pilot Ian Desari in Chester something like 2 weeks ago. I can swear there was no pod ejection and no one could have survived that secondary explosion. Before Ian attacked and destroyed her, Melfina had shot my Nyx which died some minutes after her own destruction. I survived, luckily, after 7 days in the pod.
Okay, back to the present: Melfina came in and started attacking random BMM assets, or perhaps not random: She was focussing fire on the miner who had caused yesterday's deaths. She is crazy, mad with hate against BMM. She is also a spy for the Kusari. She admitted it openly, before she tried to silence me in Chester two weeks ago.
After the attack, the whole of Dublin engaged Melfina. Mollys took her side. I wanted to take her into custody, because so many of my questions remain unanswered. So I used my good connections to the BAF and we tried to force her to land on Hood. She denied. She was clever enough to shake the attackers and I was the only one to follow her out of the system.
She was evading and heading for Holman, then suddenly turned hard, entered the lane and burnt the lane with a brillant maneuver to shake me just seconds before I could dock into the lane after her. My Nyx suffered only minor structural damage but the chase was over.
She said before, she would hand in her IMG license and papers and whatever she would do, she can't be a part of IMG any more. I believe in what she says. She has broken with IMG and she has forced us down a dangerous path. I guess this was her mission, perhaps a Kusari mission to weaken Bretonia, perhaps really an idealistic but insane approach to the BMM-IMG problem. I really can't say.
I tried to follow her, but she is a well-trained Kusari secret agent who has been undercover inside the IMG and she was - if true - as close to the IMG leadership as a person can be. So, sorry. I apologize but a rather new Defence pilot can't bring her in. She would have shot me again and I'm not dying for her.
Consequences:
Melfina's attack aimed at the miner who had our 2 Hegemons killed yesterday, made all present forces (BAF, BMM) think that we are in a shooting war with BMM now. I denied but I guess they won't swallow it.
The BMM will react hostile, so be advised to be extremely cautious in the fields. They started it, all people who were present when some of our boys burnt inside the Hegemons think it was a called strike against us. I have made up my mind: If attacked, they will bleed. I won't attack openly, though, to avoid BAF reactions.
I will explain the actions to BAF. This is important to reduce the danger of them acting against IMG. This will be hard to do but it is possible, I guess. With Melfina being the one who committed the crimes openly, we can just declare her a criminal and avoid the full brunt of pro-BMM forces.
And a suggestion: We either pull out and admit defeat and that we had to do something with it, or we stay. I chose for staying. I've invested a lot in these IMG Dublin operations and even though it will be tough now, I can see us coming out if it as the winner.
We only need the speed the LNH talks up, so that they can do the dirty part of the work. And perhaps we can also use the Reavers that are loyal to us and unscrupulous enough to shed blood for us. We can keep our hands tidy, so there is no proof against IMG.
At the same time, we improve our mining cooperation with the Mollys, we might strengthen further while BMM is being pounded. Mollys will side with us in this conflict, so Arranmore field could be still used, but I advise heavy escorts because everything can happen now.
I'm reporting from Holman, I'll be returning to Dublin to turn myself in at the Essex for questioning. You will hear from me if this is done. If it works the way I think, I'll be freed in a matter of hours or a few days at most.
We were taken down that road by Melfina. I can't turn around and run now. Rest assured that everything I do is done for the good of the Guild. I know what I'm doing. If you can trust me, I'll prove you that you did the right thing.
