Video Entry 1: Orbitting Freeport 9.

For the first time in this log, there is a recording of Vorandril visually. The man wearing his typical trench coat, fedora, slacks, and button up shirt. A presentable appearance even if not formal like a uniform. He has a faint smile on his face as he begins the log, "Well, it's been a while... A hefty number of things have happened since I bothered to update dear diary here."

He sighs contently as he rubs his hand along the armrest of the pilot seat he's in. After a second, he taps through a few keys and the camera pans to each side slowly, showing off a full bridge with 4 stations and 4 more observational seats.

"I'm still flying under the same designation now-a-days. Still the Mantarok. But now the name is on a gal who more deserves it. A conference class. A beautiful thing to see flying around. And dangerous too, if you get on the wrong side of her. I got help from someone to buy her, and with any luck I'll get to pay her back soon-ish. What else..."

He took in a sharp breath as the expression of recolection came across him, "There's a new Coalition of Freeports going on in the omicrons and omegas. So we're out by Freeports 9 and 15 making sure nothing and no one cause any issues. I may have persued this ship with the intention of escorting traders, but since then with how friendly the Zoners have always been to me, I opted to command our guns for the defense of the freeports. I havn't had to shoot anyone down yet, thankfully. I imagine it'll change soon and I'm not looking forward to an engagement so close to the freeport due to stray fire."

He shook his head and rubbed his chin thoughtfully before he continued, "Let's see. The crew could be introduced I guess. James Madison is the communication officer. Karissa DelMorte is the Weapons officer. Rachel is the Navigations. And I myself pilot her and command. Oh, and then there's Samantha, who keeps her systems up to date amd makes sure our engines stay running. Umm. That's all I can think of for now. I guess as things develop I'll try and be better about maintaining this log. We'll see."

The video ends with Vorandril's left hand moving towards part of the console, and his right giving an index finger only salute just before it ends.

Fighting to your last breath is a benchmark, not a goal.
