The Scylla is not a very good anti fighter platform. Its turret arcs prevent it from being able to fend off anything that can get behind it save a noob gunboat and the smart bomber can approach from above and avoid the one turret that can hit up there.

You'll notice most of the Scylla's fire-power is forward facing, making it more effective at charging the target head on. Trouble is with it being a destroyer, you can't really charge at fighters/bombers as they fly circles around you.
