That's the wiki quote about prometheum. While it could prove to be a very good resource, it's still unstable and the main fuel remains oil. Now, why do you think Gallia wants to invade Sirius? For revenge for what they did more than 800 years ago? Maybe but... maybe is more than that.;)

So yeah, to answer your question, Gallic ships run on petrol and we have gas stations, with Megan Fox in shorts as an employee, on the trade lanes:P
