' Wrote:or how [Garda] popularised ridiculous 'mining tax' from BMM miners;
my first reaction is "hi Karlotta", but that's unfair:D
the mining tax is not a tax, its a low priced work visa. whether you think it ridiculous or not, it actually gives a framework for players that are new to disco, new to dublin, new to RP, something to base their interactions around that is a cut above '2milrdai'. if you think its not that much of a cut above, i would welcome your suggestions to improve it, once you have made a [Garda] character.
ye, shameless recruiting too (smoke)
i started up the garda for the sole intent of improving the quantity of roleplay in dublin player-player interactions. experiment successful. however, i, as one man, cannot improve the quality of other people's roleplay, because that's a value judgement; beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder, and all that. before the Garda arrived in dublin, the official mollies were few and far between, BMM were mining in the arranmore field, lolwut indie pirates were terrorising the system, and indy HMS capitals were ganking all and sundry.
the garda is too new a faction for there to be a message dump. anything that you need to say in-rp can be spread through the molly council channels, and oorp can be put in flood. i started it up to create a proper 'molly-like' environment for interactions to occur in, but i couldnt make a MS/MR char as i wasnt in the faction.
we now have 9-10 players, and come under the banner of the molly council. the state of dublin is better now, than it was before. could i do any less? could you do any more?
