As the other man told the story of what he had to do to his friend he merely nodded, understanding.
"The need of the many outweighs the need of the one, it is never an easy choice but it is right." he comments, taking off his spectacles and lightly cleaning them with the sleeve of his uniform.
"In the Coalition it's the same, some times one must act in a matter that kills a small group to save large populations from death, we cannot help everyone, but we can make sure they have a fighting chance, even if it means we must kill a brother so they may live." he stated as he placed his spectacles back onto the bridge of his nose.
"I must wonder though, should you encounter a friend, a former ally or a family member on the side of those who oppose us, what would you do?" he pondered, an raised eyebrow suggesting it wasn't a rhetorical question.
