The Sirians have yet again attempted to send capital ships into Gallic space. This time they belonged to a group known as the 'Outcasts'. They were first detected in Lorraine by Luneville station as they passed through the mine field. The Acre, which was conducting training exercises in Burgundy was ordered to move to intercept them. We made our way to the Lorraine jump hole with all haste, and arrived just as the Sirians jumped through.
I attempted to contact them, to find out more about who they were and why they were in Gallia, before their inevitable destruction, however, they merely responded that they were on a scouting mission, hard to believe given the ships they had brought.
As it became clear that they would provide no useful information, we proceeded to engage them, felling the Battleship under the Acre's mighty guns, while the Cruiser fled amid the numerous rebel Fighters that were present. It did not flee far, and soon turned around and attempted to re-enter Lorraine. By this time, the Duquesne had arrived, and proceeded to halt the Sirian with cruise disruption missiles. It took minor damage by the time it entered the Lorraine jump hole. The Duquesne proceeded through after it to make sure it would not escape, in which she was successful, however, hordes of rebel ships were waiting on the other side, and joined the Sirian in engaging the Duquesne.
However, they did not last long, as by then the Acre had successfully jumped and primed her weapons, and I gave the order to give supporting fire. Under our combined fire, it did not last long, and the rebel ships were not able to destroy either of our ships.
[color=#FFFFFF]Once the rebel ships dispersed, we proceeded to return to Dijon for repairs and re-arming, no major damage was suffered, two of the Acre's primary turrets took moderate damage and required electrical maintenance, and there were some minor fractures in the forward starboard armour plating. The maintenance crews are at work now and the repairs should be complete within the day.
