It's good to have finally graduated, even if I did have to leave all of my friends behind. They say that I'm better than them, meant for a greater purpose, 'special', in their words. I don't agree, leaving everything behind is painful, I feel so alone, surrounded by people who pass the time by discussing the hydrogen content of the suns than ask me about how my day went.

I'm a history major, but it's not what truly interests me, just a way to pass the time and get out of education as fast as possible. Some day, I'll be able to do what I want to do, instead of following the model of the more conventional intellectuals. It pains me to see a word so broken, so torn apart, so afraid to try something different.

In other news, it appears that the dark matter storm finally arrived in Kepler, a hundred and four years late. It makes you wonder how we assume ourselves to be the greatest thing ever conceived, and yet we can make such vast mistakes.
Kepler wasn't prepared for such a storm, I heard that the whole eastern tradelane route got completely destroyed, meaning trade between Kusari and Liberty has been crippled. I dread to think how many people have potentially been killed, by a mere weather anomaly in space we claim to control.
