"I concur." Johnathan replied, although he looked pensive
"With Druce. Direct, overt cooperation between us is just going to cause us both more problems then it's worth. We must be seen as little as possible together. Hood is but an example, it is best to make your stay there as brief as can be. It is a shame the Gaians and the Mollies are at odds, when your goals are largely convergent in the sense that they carry even less love for the BMM then we do."
Johnathan paused a moment. He looked to Elizabeth, then to Druce... trying to gauge their take on the proposal.
"Perhaps... Jack, that idea is not so bad after all. The Reavers is one thing. A few elite fighters, but... nothing in the numbers that it could hurt BMM structurally. No... The Mollies. I know a significant portion of them are very discontent with the current situation. That discontent needs a focal point - something they can vent on. I'd rather not make that point our own operations south of Arranmore.
A few days ago I would not have thought to sanction something like this. But with continuous reports from the field about BMM agression, and the Armed Forces reluctance to crack down on this, suggests they are gearing up towards foul play again. I wouldn't be surprised if they would seek to blockade Hood in the near future."
He looked to Elizabeth, seemingly adressing her.
"We all know what they sought to do to us in the Taus. And the price they, and we, paid for it."
He looked to Druce, and Sequoia.
"The Guild has recently gone into a small venture with the Gallic Metal Service, at Java. They needed a refueling point, and pay us generously for it. We also still have an amount of credits received from the Isle de France traders. These funds are Gallic of origin... And we have yet to transfer them over, from their end. I propose we use those credits to fund, and sustain this proposed incentive. Gallia has linked it's own currency to that of the Sirian credit, so the value of this income is fixed. The reason I propose this... if a mercenary influx starts to appear in Dublin, I have no doubt the Bretonian intelligence services will investigate. Their trail will die then - where Gallic credchips are converted to Sirius ones. I also propose we open this to the Mollies - but we should not tell them who is supplying those funds. That way those guys make a few extra credits, and are given a reason to cease BMM's respite from them.
