ALG Waste Disposal

Off topic from the original post but as this is the feedback thread I'm going to post some, also some ideas that have sprung to mind. If I am overstepping my status I can only apologise but as I seem to be the only real active member recently I reckon I've got the right to a voice.

Firstly, ALG is suffering from a huge lack of activity, in between work I am on and off the server all day and I am more often than not the only official ALG member. I do see plenty of ALG independents and have tried to engage them in conversation about the faction. Interest in joining is usually lacking simply due to the lack of online presence. Many were not even aware there was an Official ALG.
We need to do something to raise our profile on the server. I have been conducting my own RP clean-ups in sigma 13 and my security fighter has had regular skirmishes with GMG fighters and corsairs in the same region to give the impression of something actually happening. I have based both my chars in Helgoland to try and create the illusion of ALG presence in that system, even if it is just sat meeting and greeting other vessels etc (not slot saving as I was accused of). However it is unlikely to draw much interest as I probably just appear insane amusing myself in such a way (and possibly am).

The Sigma 13 situation lends itself to some interesting opportunities for events. The 'uneasy stand-off' with GMG could be escalated to allow a new fight for dominance of the system, regular skirmish and diplomatic events, blockades etc. Clean up ops are an obvious choice, even though the debris field was nerfed a while back for reasons I am ignorant of.

We may be able to arrange some events involving the Junkers Factions as there is a presence in sigma 13 from them.

Even simple trade runs with a few escorts and traders are enough to catch the eye of prospective recruits. People like to see organization and a chance to become involved. Seeing one lone nutter shooting tin cans and mumbling in badly spelled german is not going to do much, but its best I can manage on my own.

Its sad that ALG would probably be a popular choice of faction for many people judging from the amount of ALG indies I see. A bit of hard work on the part of all current members for a while could see us with a member base that not only allows us to maintain the online profile but also to participate in events consisting of many ships instead of one. Other factions will be more than happy to arrange such events with us if they believe it will be a fullfilling and worthwhile venture.
