Firing a bolt from his Plasma cannon, Warren managed to intercept the bomber's SNAC with it, and managed to disrupt it's magnetic shielding. The result, was the utter destruction of everything. A bright blue azure shockwave emanated from the origin, and a bright white flash erupted, causing his cockpit screen to polarize, then close the shutters. Warren's shield went down, as well as his hull taking a considerable hit from the aftershocks. The bomber, however, had not been so lucky, and evaporated under his own fire.

"You'll pay for this!"

In hell... Warren sneered. He launched five nuclear mines. The resulting explosion crippled the ship long enough to buy Warren to activate his cruise engines and speed off to Rochester.See you real soon...

Warren turned his back, and headed for Rochester. The debris field grew denser and denser as he drew closer and closer. His HUD crackled as he drew closer to the magnetic interference of the Colorado Jump hole. Small CSVs littered the space, and the looming spire of Rochester reared it's ominous head.

"Got room for one more, Junker?"

"You're cleared to dock, Freelancer. Been a while."

"Heh. It's been too long, friend."

Warren set his ship down in the hangar of Rochester base. The Firefly transport was still here. Warren quickly popped the cockpit open, and entered the landing deck. The man, stepped out of his Firefly, now dressed in a Outcast's uniform. Concerned, Warren walked towards the man, and met him in the middle.

"Thank you." Said the Outcast. Drawing a pistol, he fired a shot into Warren's chest. Warren slumped to the ground, clutching his chest in pain.

"W...W...What? I don't...I don't...What?" Rasped Warren.

The Outcast drew a small purple glowstick from his pockets, and a light base. He tossed it, chuckling as he did.

"Some people. Gloated the Outcast "Will believe anything they hear."

"You lying scum! An outcast, I should've known better!"

"And even once, you didn't even bother to scan my hold? You imbecile. Oh wait. You didn't think the Navy was chasing me because of an artifact? Ha! Cardimine! The most common contraband in Liberty, and you didn't even suspect it.

"You'll pay for this..."

"No. I wont. Take him away."

Warren saw three men dressed in uniforms walk up to him. He tried to speak, but could not. His mouth was parched and mute. Futilely, He tried kicking, but was only met with another shot to the chest. Passing out, he realized the error in his ways. Some people will do anything for profit. They loaded him onto a Train. Last words escaping his breath.

Slowly, he would remember this betrayal. But that would be a long way off. Somewhere in Tau-23.
