Where do you get those numbers? RL example? Of a space battleship? I expect to have a lot of tasks automated and requiring minimal to no attention from the crew. A dozen+ for battleship sounds fine. Gunboat would probably require five-six persons to maintain it. Don't forget the robots, haven't we seen them? Considering they can operate docking systems on stations what other tasks they can do? I'm sure a lot.
