So Joe, lots of roleplay interaction there mate, sure you are on the right server ? Your 'Its my money,
I'll do what I like with it attitude' is a little selfish when it comes to the the rest of those roleplaying here.
Major factions, or most of them, do not allow new members to come straight in and fly a BS immediately.
Thats part of the being here and earning the right within a faction, and actually playing a part of a team.
This is a piece of the major problem, they are available to every PvP fan and his dog, especially those
with little interest in actual RP, save flying a big ship, and being in combat ...
Hoodlum
Hoodlum, you are right. But so am I. Nice job with the quote:D, but I use my capship within the boundaries of RP. Others should too. Im not arguing that at all. I dont PvP on this server, only within the boundaries of RP.
The "quote" from another post is very true, I still feel the same way. I want fleet action. And that is why I bought a Merc ID, and a destroyer. Ill sell my ship to a faction if I am in the mood for a fight, or I may just take an escort contract. There's a million things to be done in discovery. You dont need to join a faction to have a capship. My personality type doesnt fit with the "team effort", sorry but it is true, I guess Im a drifter of sorts. There are a LOT of other players out there just like me. We like to move at our own pace, not one set by others. Hoodlum, for you the route you took in the game suited your personality type. You enjoyed joining a faction, and climbing up the ladder. I am happy for ya. Me, I took the trade route. I traded and made enough money to buy my current ship. Got a merc ID. Found my appropriate role in Discovery.
I agree that there should be RP limitations to HOW a player uses his / her ship. I do not agree that a player should be limited on what KIND of ship they choose to fly.
