Remnants and Fallout

Onboard the Resurgency, alarms were going off...

The shields flared again as a crude pulse weapon slammed into them, one of the Hispania's turrets that could track back to fire upon them was giving them a really hard time.

Alvarez didn't like feeling like a sitting duck.

"Ma'am, permission to take a squad and go neutralize that turrets fire control!" He was up and out of his seat.

Broch gave him the go ahead, too busy concentrating on the battle reports from inside the Hispania.

Jogging back through the ship, Alvarez found Pasha already locked and loaded. The Grim looking master chief was smoking a cigarette and loading shells into his deck sweeping shotgun. He looked up at Alvarez and nodded, "Da, so we're going, yes?"

Alvarez nodded, grabbing an SMG from the rack, and stuffing some spare magazines into his pocket. "Let's go Pasha, get this mess sorted out."

The two made their way along the docking tube, feeling the quiver and shudder as the Resurgency took yet another hit. Careful that there were no surprises, they passed the outer airlock, where a group of Coalition Marines had set up a barricade.

"What do we have?" Alvarez asked, keeping his head down.

"Sir, we have two squads of Western Alliance troops, one holding the command center, the other attacking Engineering." The Sargent looked concerned. "There are several hundred thousand people on this ship, sir... we can't hope to fight them all."

"Admiral Broch knows what she's doing," Alvarez reassured. "We have to go stop a pulse cannon... Chief, you're with me..." reseating his baseball cap, he was up and over the barricade and into the sleeper ship, sprinting down a catwalk towards the weapons control hub.
