AI ID vs. PvP Abuse

I can only agree. AIs (most often Caps) are almost 100 % erratically behaving PvPers who most often join the unlawful part of a fight and shoot everything else.

Also, the ID that state ability to shoot someone 'just because' usually have a certain line about 'engaging/hunting pirates, terrorists, lawfuls, someone else' - and since AI ID lacks it, I suppose that it's not allowed to attack except the cases when it defends itself, defends the trader it was escorting or is in roleplay situation that makes engagement pretty logical and it fits the other participants.

Having <strike>been the victim</strike> encountered one of these chaps, I must say that suggestions relating to how to flesh out the AI ID to prevent said cruisers being used as a convenient tool for miner revenge would be noted.

A lot of players treat the AI id as free reign to pvp anyone they want.

I've encountered it on my LN in the form of a ai cruiser than went "Navy Forces detected. Powering up weapons." and then started shooting.
I've encountered it on my Corsair in the form of an AI Cruiser that went "Corsair within scanner range. Moving to attack." and then started shooting.
I've encountered it on my Molly in the form of an AI Cruiser that went "Pirate found. Engaging." and started shooting.
I've encountered in on my gorram Interspace escort in the form of an AI Cruiser that went "Death to Liberty!" and started shooting.
Remove the AI Crusier and add a AI Gunboat or something. It's not like there's an official faction to complain anymore, is there?
Or are the SMA or Harvesters still around?
I mean, in-rp the Mollys and Rogues can barely afford the Cruisers they have, with acess to all that gold and pirate profits, yet all these AI Cruisers are built on a backwater planet in Omicron Kappa with no appreciable resources.
