Cocnerning bounties

What is the reasoning behind this? It's doesn't change anything except that bounty guy doesn't get paid. He still can't hunt unless the bounty is not on forums.



BHG|, and what about indi BH's? They should be thrown out trough bort? Left alone in the dark corner to rot? C'mon?!

There was once a time when BHG BCs roamed the server acting as global police. Do you see any kind of BH or Mercenary acting that way currently? That is because they must now claim a bounty or it is PvP abuse. No one is a global police officer. Now people are actually Bounty Hunters or Mercenaries.

Also I can't really tell what you're saying about indie BHG. There are a couple advantages to playing a BHG over a Merc:

1. It's hard to play a Merc and get permissions for everything
2. You have faction guns and equipment on the BHG
3. The Hammerhead is awesome

Really, for a casual player, playing a BHG is a lot easier. Not to mention that you can toast slower ships no problem in a Hammerhead. And then we can talk about big ships.

EDIT: Well I guess that's just one big reason. BHG actually have equipment at the cost of diplomacy while Mercs have diplomacy at the cost of equipment. Choose your poison.
