' Wrote:Well I've finally broken the news to my mates and my mother that I've left college today and am in the process of joining the army. What fun and noise ridden journey that was. Some of my mates in class are shocked though surprisingly supportive of me which is a big boost.

Now, I've got to get my body fit within two weeks at best which is going to be tough. I've got a pass, but for a Military Engineer or Army Air Corps Soldier I need around 1.5 miles in 9 minutes which is quite tough.

So I'm likely dropping all my plans here, but I still want to play in Dublin for a bit, the sheer insanity there is amazingly funny.

Oh and just in case, this my be last time you hear from me in case things REALLY get out of hand and I get kickout out of the house. Mother does not like army, not one bit.

All I got to say is that you should listen and sort things out with your mom more than you should listen to anyone here.
