He swallows some pills and washes them down with a glass of water before continuing...

"Since we had little food grown whatsoever, and even less to sell we needed something else to eat. We ate it, the Synth Paste. At first we considered it harmless, food like any other we thought. I ate since I was 5 and until now I did not see it's demonic nature."

He takes a deep sigh

"I am 25 years old now. I visited a doctor last week, and did a few regular tests. He diagnosed me with cancer, not an aggressive one though so I have about five more years of life without a treatment. I saw the studies about the synth paste and I knew. It was it. It was that foul waste that came out of an Oni's jaw. I ate not knowingly, and now I am dying... ''
