Question, after seeing your ship selection: what happens if my char brings her corsair ships with her?
First, thank you for your support. Second, a good question. I'm not entirely sure yet. It really does depend upon what ship you're flying. If it's highly valuable it'd do the group a lot more good InRP to sell it and purchase tens, if not hundreds of ships from the money earned. Selling a Titan with full equipment worth twenty-five millions would do quite a bit toward funding Scimitars and Stilletos for everybody.
As funds become more available, limitations on what ranks can use what ships may be changed. As this is the beginning phase, the faction is at its poorest so has very strict regulations regarding which ranks have access to which ships.

While I value RP quite a bit I feel that practicality must also be taken into consideration at times. (Not that this is any of my business. I'm sorry for imposing.)
Personally, I don't like things to be left unexplained. If we're going to use expensive ships when at the moment the group has little money, it'd be good to show where it comes from. We'll be branching out, trying to find possible businesses to fund us.
I agree with you about the practicality. As I saw yesterday, without ships en masse the weak ships can't be effective in piracy. We'd have to be reliant upon the role-play willingness of others, and in all honesty my confidence in the role-play capabilities of most traders is not very high. Hopefully however, piracy operations will not be our main source of income, as asking anything that could actually affect most people would result in refusing to pay the tax, and we wouldn't be able to fight a transport without more members.
