First, it was more of a joke I brought up in RHA HC chat and then posted here just for lulz.
And then, even if nothing more than a joke, it's not showing "outline" of the ship, but the "general shape". That is why I don't say "Oh look! It's a Mako!", just "It kinda looks like a Mako somehow." This does not mean the model is based on the Mako, it just means an unintentional similarity might remind some people of Mako when seeing this model. Still, that does not mean it's a bad model, and I actually like it, but let's face it - It's as much a RM BS as it is a Mako!
