' Wrote:I now band up with say, 5 friends. We check out the ships that are available, and find out the Kusari gunboat is a nice one for allround mayhem. So we all get KNF ID's and get ourselves into these little funboats. Now we want to majorly "pwn" (I believe that's the term this type of player uses?) anyone, so we set up shop somewhere in the Taus, and "roleplay" a blockade. Anyone not complying gets vaporised by chain fire from five gunboats, all armed with a forward cannon for ranged duty. We can dock at the Freeport or any Samura base if we need regens after a battle, after all.
Soon enough our list of targets runs out. Word gets around and people stop coming there. So, let's move! But where to? Well, the Sigmas make for a nice location. We drop a lane and again RP a "blockade". Heck, this time we simply RP being Wilde - since other guys do it, why can't we? So we RP a bit and end up vaporising anyone not Samura or Kishiro, since that's against our ID. Gas Miner Naha is always kind enough to resupply us with bots and bats.
Again, the targets run dry, and there's already quite some "Q_Qing" about us on the forum. But we don't mind, we have a dozen people who cussed us out in space, and we'll file them all as 3.1 rule violations. That'll mean a few bans for sure. Fun, no? But we aren't done yet, so we move again. Where to now? Oh, why not, Dublin! We're at war with the Bretonians anyway, so it's not against the rules. Just have to remember to withdraw to the nearest Gaian base when we need to load up bots and bats. We're all green to Gaians so there's not much they can do about it - no more FR5s. And on that note, since we're in hostile territory we can shoot anything and anyone there! End tally, 5 miners, a dozen fighters, and a battleship (kiting with the forward cannons really worked well!).
without the red part, that really sounds like fun ;)
But i guess that was not your point, right? It was more like that only Wild, Phantoms, Nomads and dunno what else special factions are allowed to do something like that and not just any independent player who wants to have fun? :nono:
The main problem i see with the official factions is that most (all i met so far) of them are not doing what they are supposed to do (according to some of the answers here).
It feels more like they are not trying to help any indies to follow the ID-specific roleplay, but once they see someone doing something wrong spam their FRs and want to get rid of him/her.
Guess an of.fac's "perfect world" would be without indies and all IDed players in their own faction.:shok:
