1. I don't know if this can be done, but it would be so good if we could choose what type of enemy we go against in a mission.
Only fighters, bombers, gunboats, cruisers etc.
It's so annoying when you bump into 5 Osiris battlesips while you are in a fighter, and in the contrary it's pretty boring when all you have to do is to sit in your cruiser, and just pick targets that die in 2 seconds.
2. Bomber guns.
I see that there was a large argument about bombers & their guns.
The ships are okay, but those guns need to be replaced. Either make better ones, or just go back to fighter guns. Since those bomber cannons arrived i hate to fly any bomber(though i have to sometimes).
3. Weapon classes in ships.
It's pretty annoying(for me at least), when you punch up your ships infocard, & see that 2 out of 6 of your hardpoints is just class 9, and your sitting in a class 10 ship.
You have 4 of the same CODENAMEs, could buy another 2, but can't because that 2 remaining hardpoints are only suitable for class 9 weapons.
Why can't those hardpoints be all the same?
Some ideas:
1. Reactors for ships.
I've seen this in another mod(don't know which one), but i liked the idea.
Just like armor modifies your HP, Reactors modify your energy for guns.
The more sophisticated and pricey the reactor is, the more energy you have.
2. Custom ship skins.
There are more than 1 ships, that many factions can use.
My idea is, to make custom skins for those ships, and make the rule that 1 skin is only usable by certain factions.
