Operation 'Silver Fire'

[Omicron]

Golanski is late due to briefing Martin and showing him plans of operation. In meantime Rika and Georgi at bar talking with each other. Rika speaks:

'Tell me you will be careful this time.'

He smirks and makes her sure:

'Yes I will be careful. But you be extra careful while flying that fighter.'

She smiles and continues:

'I will and you will be too. Promise me.'

He answers:

'I promise Rika. Don't worry. Ff I see the smallest sigh of the Pacifica not making it I will be one of the first people to get the hell out of there.'

She smiles at him and tells:

'Still that waiting. Everything can go wrong out there. And we don't know a lot...'

Georgi interrupts:

'Well as martin says the dangers of the unknown. Risk and you win or risk and you lose. And besides Pacifica Evacuation procedure can make the crew leave the ship in a matter of 2 minutes. So if anything goes wrong we will be well out of there'

He winks to her but Rika little worried:

'You talk about evacuation of Pacifica, but what are you going to tell Liberty Navy? I lost naval ship during aiding my wife who's in Order somewhere in most unknown of unknowns systems fighting nomads?'

Georgi explains:

'Who says I am going to loose Pacifica?'

Rika continues:

'Well I hope you're right. Pacifica officers are ready for this?'

Georgi answers:

'Of course not, they are not ready for a hard tail combat against the Nomads in a situation like this. I doubt any crew can from the Liberty navy. The crew morale is high. They probably will enjoy fighting for Humanity not helping to destroy it. And besides they Trust us remember they were there when we met.'

In that moment commodore Golanski and Martin went in room and joined pair. As they take a seat Golanski speaks:

'Sorry for being late but everyone needs to be briefed about situation.'

Georgi looks at Martin and asks:

'What the hell happened to your arm'

Short respond of Martin:

'I got shot'

Rika evading next 'story' asks:

'What's now for dinner?'

Golanski respond:

'Strudels and borscht. And really pizza, I hope our new cook won't screw up like last one.'

Georgi nods, Martin asks:

'What happened to previous one?'

Golanski laughs and answer:

'Relocated to a place where they don't know him yet.'

Rika and Georgi laughs together with him. In meantime dish was served and they start to eat. Two Order officers talking in hangar, full of fighters but no other people right now. One of them asks:

'I don't like what commodore does. We could take revenge for all that Liberty Navy did to us during all that time just right now.'

Second one calms him down:

'And die to nomads in suicide attack, great plan. No wonder you're still lieutenant after five years here with your genius tactical mind. I feel like commander wants to sacrifice them while getting away don't you think?'

First one sighs and responds:

'I don't know, he always got unusual guests. Freelancers, Zoners, even GMG pilot once.'

Officers disappear in darkness of hangar chatting. Back at canteen Golanski asks Rika:

'What fighter you brought in? I guess it need solid armament.'

Rika answers:

'Liberty navy guardian.'

Golanski raises eyebrows but then looks on Georgi:

'Your fault eh?'

Georgi smirked, Golanski looks back at Rika:

'We will need suit that thing with some decent weapons then. I heard those vengeance's are crap'

They laugh and Golanski continues:

'Seems you will need every advantage we got so I will order mounting some prototype weaponry we salvaged last time. Don't worry, they still work and deliver a solid punch.'

Rika nods and finishes her meal. Rest are finishing soon enough, Golanski stands up and tells them:

'I will be at my quarters. If you need accommodation ask one of officers at CiC, there are some rooms free. Also as all ships are here I will order movement to Omicron-92 system. Questions?'

Everyone nods and goes to their destination. Martin returns to Equinox, Rika and Georgi go for quarter and Golanski steps on CiC to contact Pacifica and issue move out order. He picks up comms

'Commodore Golanski to Equinox and Pacifica command. Soon as we unmoor from each other fleet is to be deployed for Omicron 92 system immediately and take marked positions.'

He awaits for respond from other two vessels, then Equinox open channel:

'Here's Martin, understood we will follow you.'

After that Pacifica CiC answers:

'We read you, where is captain Dimitrov?'

Commodore answers:

'Onboard Sajuuk, you may contact him on his own personal comms if you don't believe me.'

After some momenth of hesitation, fleet is ready to move out. Golanski goes for his quarters and takes a seat on sofa. As fleet reached Omicron 92 jump hole Scott orders FTL jump. Commodore awaits that momenth feeling when it kicks in, at CiC then one of officers counts from from five to zero and Sajuuk dissapears. Soon Pacifica and Equinox followed.

'Jump complete, we reached successfully Omicron-92 and we are in contact with Pacifica and Equinox command. Awaiting further instructions...'

One of officers repoted. Scott answered:

'Set course for staging point, keep it slow helm we have time.'

Two battleships and cruiser passing through dense nebula towards unknown, crew is enjoying their time before strike. Golanski approached one of walls of his quarters, with pictures. One of them showing himself while he was 16 with his first ship, dagger fighter. Another one is from Freeport 9 station with his sister and old friends which propably are dead by now. Moving to next one, with officer crew of Sajuuk when Rika was helm officer. On last picture there is Ravenov, Richards, Leigh and Golanski in hangar of battleship Isis, on background of Nephthys class fighters. He notices also his collection of Order primary fleet rank insignias he collected through his career. He takes a seat on sofa and starts to think about upcoming action.
