In the past, which included the recruiting system that was applied in your case, the individual you were Role-Playing with in the recruitment thread essentially makes the decision whether or not you get in. When I went to check who this individual was, it was not Alvin, although that is still really irrelevant to this Faction Feedback.
Anyways, it was most likely because the recruiter wasn't satisfied with your answers. In most cases it's because a character displays far too many stereotypical properties. For your application, what the major flaw I personally saw was that your character was way too "cocky" to be in the position that she was in. Eventually that got your character killed.
The current recruitment system with the closure of that recruitment thread has changed however. Now the HC votes the entrance of a new player, if more than 4 votes are a "Yes" and less than 4 votes are "No" an individual receives the chance for entrance, (the irony is that Alvin doesn't even vote unless there is a tie) but that is only after you have applied as a character via the standard Role-Play procedure that the SCRA is known for. This way the recruiter does not make the decision but a group of individuals does. Either way, if Alvin's character came in and killed your character, it was most likely because of the recruiter's opinion, in this particular case I agreed with the decision after reading your character's responses.
The decision to deny your entrance to the Faction was only, and will only be how good or bad you character responds during the recruitment procedure. Then, even if you happened to be an individual with "bad reputation" it wouldn't matter, because everyone gets tucked into a separate recruit-chat where you are on a trial period somewhat similar to a Nomad Morph. Prove your worth there and you may stay. Everyone gets a fair shot. What the HC votes for is what they see on that recruitment thread, replacing the system before where only a single individual made the decision.
