Ciao. My name is Giovanni Basso, and I am making this message in the hope of joining the ranks of the 101st Ghosts of Razgriz. I am sure that you must receive many applications from young, eager men looking to do their duty for the Nación Maltesa. I hope that I may stand out as a unique figure.

I was born and raised on a cardamine plantation, ten miles in every direction stretching away from the central villa, Ginevra. The entire site is named after the villa. I've worked hard on the fields since a young age while also keeping a strong focus on my education. When you're growing up on a cardamine plantation and have five hours of work a day, as well as school, there is little time for anything else.

Just as all the young men on the plantation, I wanted to do my duty. Protect the Orange Dream and my people from the aggressive Corsairs and Colonials. Some failed school however, and have to accept their lives as what they are. They will still serve the Nación Maltesa in an important way.

I branched off from the education tree to pursue a course in avionics, and learning how to fly various types of starships as well as how they worked, but all those that only take one pilot. Fighters and bombers. I passed the course and from there my teachers recommended a career in the military, which was where I was heading anyway.

So I am applying here today, fresh out of an avionics course, to apply to the 101st Ghosts of Razgriz and fight for the people of Malta, and the Orange Dream.

1) Why the 101st Outcast Guard?
For my four or so years here I've generally avoided joining any Outcast or Corsair factions, feeling that they already had enough attention and that my efforts would be better spent elsewhere. But now I'm interested in the role-play behind both factions and am attracted by the different role-play opportunities, broad ZoI, and the different people to interact with.

2) What are two things that you enjoy doing in real-life besides playing freelancer?
I enjoy walking (last year I walked up Snowdon, as an example) and indulging my interest in Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy by watching documentaries and just listening to some of my friends who also hold interests in the same areas.

3) What would the last sentence of your autobiography be?
"I've found that in life many things change, but the things that remain the same are what must be cherished."

4) If you could be a fictional character (from a film, book, comic, etc...), who would it be, and why?
It would have to be Jack Reacher, the creation of Lee Child. Strong, survives tough situations with ingenious solutions and at the end of the day just wants to do what's right according to his morals. "Men want to be him. Women want to be with him."
