Formation will allow camera to attach to ship to see close up. Right now despite my attempts I wasn't able to shot close up views. External camera doesn't help much too. The camera ship being the most maneuverable ship in all discovery shouldn't have problems keeping track of the host ship, the only downside would be a lag.

I may also put some more camera ships into the game, other than my desktop system I have two laptops sitting there (collecting dust, network rendering and torrent seeding), they can run freelancer just fine. This will allow to make static shots from different positions at the same time.
