- Find out why ships sometimes drift so much. The should drift based on the amount of time they have been disconnected. The expected rate is 1 meter per second of disconnect time up with a maximum of 50k in the y-axis and 1/10th of that in the x and z axis.
"Try to stop a ship in space if the player disconnects/F1s" is an absolute statement. You can only either F1 or disconnect. The use of 'try' signifies it is in the future.
"Find out why ships drift so much" - This statement is directed towards the present.
"Expected rate" - not regarding the future despite the use of 'expected' but instead addressing the present situation and stating something is in fact wrong with it.
The first statement is what he intends to do, the second statement is what is actually happening at this moment in time. The "find out" means he doesn't know why it's happening but he wants to know why people are drifting much more than they should.
What I want to know Cannon, is the "1 meter per second" acceleration or just indicating a consistent '1 meter a second' drift?
