athenian, you have a point of course.... but that also applies to some other factions. ( like bundschuh, gaians, GC etc. - that are rather single minded in terms of their faction goals )

depending on the viewpoint... the core is quite blown out of proportions in terms of size ( yes - so are most other factions around the edgeworlds )

- if you imagine a handful of ships - a pocket fleet to fight for nomad remains ... battling against a handful of order ships - both factions are quite continously busy.

but the point stays - the cores roleplay is to fight for nomad tech. - and .... thats where it ends. one might say that the core looking for "stuff to do in other parts of sirius cause fighting nomads just doesn t cut it... is like gaians fighting for the liberation of rheinland from a totalitarian system" ( yes - far fetched )

players make their roleplay within canon restrictions. if those restrictions are too tight - maybe roleplaying that faction isn t exactly what the player seeks.

extending the roleplay is and has always been part of discovery - but always only multilaterally if possible.
