General Alvarez,

Orders received and acknowledged. It seems Lt Colonel Wexler managed to get himself in a worse shape than I. He's currently being treated on Lanzarote base, under an alias of course.

In terms of what is against you Alvarez, those cruisers do pack a punch and the fighter squadrons that are chasing you down are expending a lot of fuel. We've heard unconfirmed rumours that the Volkhan's forces do not have the capability to continue striking at you.

Ling feels a sharp pain in his leg

Hrrmph.. I stress that these are unconfirmed reports. If there is any truth to them, then we will be able to see it in their patrol patterns against you Alvarez. My best guess is that if you wait it out for a few more days, the Volkhan will have no choice but to withdraw. Either that, or he'll come at you with everything he has in one last push to get rid of you. From what we have seen of the Volkhan's.. determination.. It'll be the latter option.

Ling sits back in the command chair to elevate his damaged leg up.

If he does go down the foolish route, he will lose either way. The plan at this point is simple. We set a trap, ambush the cruisers and disable them if at all possible. Either captured, disabled or destroyed, it will remove them from this interesting chessboard we are playing on. This will effectively remove the Volkhan's capital force. That's if we win. If the odds are stacked against us, we would still theoretically deal a massive blow to the Volkhan's future attacking options. We should enact a fighting retreat to get the Havana to safety whilst ensuring that the Volkhan's forces expend as much fuel as possible. The Volkhan's forces would be foolish to give chase considering the theoretical fuel situation, but again - I think they're determination to see you die will override that. We must, of course, guarantee the Havana's safety at all times. That means it'll cost us.

We will be monitoring you from here in New London General. The Social Credit is on standby. I do not know what has happened to the Karchov. Major Dimitrov has not got back to me in weeks. Some better news is that Major Lee has recaptured the Tianjin. The fighter corps has taken losses over the last few days but we are still here and still fighting. We can and will assist you General in any way we can.
