Tom Long has a strange history, being born of a Bretonian father, and a Kusarian mother. At the time of his birth (787A.S.) this was not a problem, and his first name was chosen after the Bretonian, and his surname after his mother. He had a childhood on Holman Outpost, his father acting as a represenative of Planetform, and his mother as a security officer for the IMG on base. The base was exceptionally boring, and he watched shipments come and go. Both his parents spent all day at work, and any time they had at home, was spent loving eachother. Tom was much unloved by his parents, and in his later life it sorely affected him, making relationships extremely difficult for him. Eventually he met a man who piloted a ship used to escort convoys flying over to Harris, a young Tom developed a very close relationship to him, and he viewed him as his father. When he turned 18, he left the base and pursued a career as a trader, finding the life of a trader, one that flew and was alone for weeks at a time. A year later, Tom realized, that was not what he wanted. He joined the Kusari Naval Forces. He was found to work exceptionally well alone, and became part of an elite wing, trained to go into enemy territory and deal with high value targets at extreme ranges (Sniper). Unfortunately, it was soon found that besides being able to manipulate photograhs (He picked up the hobby from his weeks of trading) Tom's only ability was sniping. After realizing this, the higher ups put him back into squad based teams, so all the roles he lacked could be filled. It was quickly found that Tom was a proficient leader, his position was decided to be a squad leader. Two years later, he dropped out of the Naval Forces and pursued a career as a mercenary. He pursued a life of sin and greed, making money fast with his newfound career. then the war broke out between Kusari and Bretonia. He was viewed by smut from both sides, and chose to take residence on Holman outpost. Eventually even the merc life was lonely, even though he had women and alcohol, he was starting to grow a void where he used to have a lonewolf kind of mentality. Today he applies for the MM, looking for professional work with people reflecting that attitude.
