They shouldn't be, at least not in RP. The time needed to construct such a ship and put it into active usage is rather large, again in RP. When you already need to mine and trade for hours or rather days, why not spend a bit more time to write a simple story that at least contains the most relevant data, and enriches the server RP in many ways? That is how things should be, imo.
