We, on Earth, have more then enough land to increase our population by quite a substantial bit and be able to feed the whole bunch sustainably as well. There's a whole different root problem to the hunger issue in this world.
No, we really don't have enough room for a substantial increase in our population.
More people = more cities/housing/etc.
More cities = less land.
Less available land used by farms means even less land.
The earth stopped being acceptably habitable for the entire human race around 1.5 billion in population.
