So, this event just finished roughly forty five minutes ago. So how did it go?
To Cannon: Thanks for getting the server stable quite literally minutes before the first combat began. Others can attest to the stress I was venting on skype.
Man of the match: DSE)Tech-2.
A Repair Ship is absolutely invaluable for extended combat. He helped a Mammoth escape combined fire from two bombers and a vhf, while under attack from those ships too, and even managed to find time for idle chatter while he thrustered to safety. Eventually the oponents just broke off.
To that AFA Ahoudouri: sorry about being ganked, but we'd just started, and we didn't want some random ship getting in our way. Furthermore, Ageira never drops Parts. I wouldn't bother trying. Also, we're actually helping you indirectly; you're buddies with Hogosha, who work for Samura, who essentially commissioned the Chugoku Gate. The Gate's completion hurts the Blood Dragons, which you should like, and the delivery of those Parts accelerates that process.
In terms of roleplay, the corporate side won. We successfully delivered our cargo to its destination with only two transports lost.
Our convoy was huge. We had something like 15 or 16 ships on our side, which was very impressive to look at.
However, certain things occured which detracted from the overall fun of the event. Mistakes were made on both sides. Now I'm not going to blame anyone, I'm just going to note the pros cand cons of what happened.
Ah, screw it, it's too late for me to finish writing this right now.
Basically, there were a bunch of problems, including being ganked by unwelcome hostiles, a really poor communication system on the trader side, and a general lack of obeying the attendance list and aforementioned regulations.
