I've noticed that Discovery is pretty much something completely different when you compare it to 1.0. As a player finishing the campaign and then diving into Discovery it's quite a wonderful, surprising and confusing thing. Discovery has a timeline based around events that happened on the server and whatever the admins decided would happen officially.
It's confusing.
4.83 as far as I understand was a small spin off the original version. 4.84 was a larger transformation for the mod which qued all kinds of new factions and systems. 4.85 were seeing the face of sirius slightly twisted. KNF in Leeds, Embargos on pretty much every 'war zone' and Zoners making their own rules.
Is it too much to expect a new player to suddenly click and understand all this within hours of playing online? Only the thirty odd players who were around in the old days actually fully understand the events leading up to the present. And it seems as the face of the server is changing, it's going to be mostly benificial for them seeing as they tend to be the players with the most influence in the community aswell.
I'm not picking a fight, and i'm sorry if i've at all offended anyone. But is anyone else seeing this from my point of view?
