alternative weapons are a necessity ... but the ones proposed are slightly OP.

Not really.

GRN weapons are balanced for "the big new enemy" that is not exactly a terroristic one - but has to fight according to public rules and a set amount of enemies. - they are also balanced for the rather large gallic ships. ( many gallic ships are a good deal larger in size than many sirius ships - but their weapons are superior )

The Wild have many more enemies in Sirius than the GRN do, and the proposed guns would make our ships less powerful, as opposed to more powerful.

the fighter weapons suggested are basicly OK - but i would also suggest a projectile speed decrease to 600 or 650. - we shouldn t compare them to the BEST public guns and add a little bit on it - but we should take the most AVERAGE public guns and work on from there.

No, we specifically want 700m/s guns, something else can be decreased instead. 700m/s is pretty much a must.

in other threads it was said that "stats are only secondary, skill is what counts" - and while that argument goes both ways - it would work very much for the more exclusive factions reputation to ( for once ) ask for average gear - instead of top notch gear.

We want the best tech available to public factions, so we can still be the feared Wild. People should see our ships and go,

"Oh crap, I can kiss ever seeing my wife again goodbye. I am going to die"

So you admit to that you want these guns for pvp and that the Wild is a almost purely pvp faction? Interesting.

It's what people want us to be, so we're gonna be that.

The Wild should have guns up there with some of the finest guns available, like those available to the Phantoms, Outcasts, GRN etc.

The main activities of the Wild are killing people, it comes with the territory of having 98% of Sirius as your enemies.
