The question with regards to Gallia is their intentions towards the rest of Sirius. If they want to wipe out all military forces, Bretonia, Liberty, Kusari and Rheinland, then I think it unlikely the BHG would sit idly by while Gallia steamrollered their primary employers. Gallia is extremely xenophobic, from what I've read, and would not have anything to do with the Hunters of Sirius. That reason alone would be enough to force the BHG to take sides.
