But you really don't need new ships. The current ones function well enough for what they are, and the Brigands are not what you seem to have written out for them. They aren't fearsome freedom fighters who wish to instill terror and fear. They're brutish Frenchmen who steal money and sell illegal goods. Like the Rogues. Only French.

Sure I need new ships. Can I haz a Meow shipline composed from Gunship, Normal Gunboat, Heavy Gunboat, Light Cruiser, Heavy Cruiser, Destroyer, Frigate, Light carrier, carrier, heavy carrier, superheavy carrier, light battleship, heavy battleship, dreadnought MK1 and dreadnought MK 2. In conclusion: I am not LE and I don't represent them. I only speak for myself.

On topic: Maybe the brigands are just common thieves -BUT- after years of hits, they can afford and they want to get more advanced ships. "Well enough" is not enough for the brigands that are some kind of crime lords (you won't see drug dealers driving some old piece of junk. they drive nice cool cars with spinners:P) Don't forget that the Council was helped by the brigands in the war and they might have gave them tech. So, the brigands mixed their junk tech, with outdated council tech and maybe they also came up with something fancy. The result should be more than WWII planes. Not to mention that they could also build a limited number of cruiser/destroyers, maybe? (this is to get to your comparison with the rogues).

Also... who wants to buy a fully equipped and repped Jaguar, the auction starts at 10 mils:P
