Ship Cripple on Death

Well, just something I thought of recently and hones topic reminded me of it.

since loosing your ship completely at death would just be annoying and would kill the server.

what about if you die your ship is essentially salvaged, when you respawn and all you ships health and hardpoints are randomly damaged below 10% health.

capital ships are respawned back onto a shipyard like you were towed there after the salvage, Southhampton, Norfolk etc..

this might not be ballanced correctly with the current mining thing and the needed buff on trading and smuggling routes since you would lose lots of money from repairs.

Of course for training purposes in Conn this would not apply, otherwise only those with lots and lots of money would be able to stand going, or those who are the ones doing all the killing and skip the death part:P

accompanied by a broad strengthening of capital ship abilities, particularly their ability to protect themselves from bombers.

this too to go with it.

I realise this isnt Discovery Realism 24/7, its just an idea i had.:D
