Are the Reavers requesting their own shipline? No, they are not.
Are the VPS requesting their own shipline? No, they are not.

Your example regarding the Samura and Hogosha is flawed since yet again, their size as opposed to the MM is MUCH bigger. They have a vast commercial network and facilities. Both also are vanilla factions. Which means that if the player faction dies, it still makes sense for their ships to exist for independant players.

I can understand your concerns, but having the MM get their own shipline just because another faction does is NOT necessary due to the reasons that were stated before by other players as well as myself. On top of that, it was decided by the dev heads to avoid adding more faction specific ships (custom factions). If you doubt me, go ask the other heads. That is Mjolnir, Cannon, and Frozen.

Now, if you want to pursue this dicussion, please create a new topic. This one here is to discuss the model itself, not the RP behind it.

Just because they do or don't do something doesn't mean that we have to do the same.

I'm not saying that the only reason we should get these ships is because others did. Was mainly stating that saying "MM doesn't have means to build ship" isn't exactly accurate, as it's been worked around that before. As for the faction's size...I still don't exactly see how that matters. As for the last point, there are non vanilla factions who have shiplines. If they die, there are no indies to use the ships. It hasn't been a problem so far.

While it's your decision entirely and you don't have to explain yourselves to me, a reason why that decision was made would still be appreciated. And I don't doubt you, at all.

Difference is Hogs are a vanilla faction, Mandos aren't. I'm not against nor am I for it. I don't rightly care, thing is though. If you make these Mando only, then we need another set for open use.

True, but as far as I remember, Dieter paid Luis a while back to come up with a model for MM. Would be somehow meh if our money (or better, Dieter's) ended up in someone else's ship....
