Urban Decay

Jacob came to a road.

"What if..."

The drone of a car was heard. Dropping down, Jacob hit the spring-operated scope. Settling down, Jacob waited.

"Rain-drops keep falling on my head..."

The car approached; Jacob led his target. His rifle was set on single shot. He waited until it was nearing a bend. He took a deep breath.
Jacob exhaled and pulled the trigger.

The shot echoed, the side door window shattering as blood and brains splattered across the passenger. The car accelerated right off the road, the slight ditch making it go airborne. It flipped over and rolled. As it came to a stop, Jacob trained his sights on the car. The passenger climbed out, gun raised.

"Rain drops keep falling on my head..."

Bam

His buddy got out, dropping the RPG and running towards the trees.

"But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red..."

The Raider zigzagged.

"Cryin's not for me, 'cause I'm not gonna stop the rain by complainin'."

He was ten feet away from the trees.

"Because I'm free..."

Bam

Just as the raider was about to make it, Jacob fired. The shot cut a line on the tree, entered the ear, and exited the other. It was a show-off shot. But risky.

"Nothin's worryin' me..."

As the shot's echoes died, Jacob approached the bodies, slitting throats to be sure. Picking up the RPG, Jacob found one rocket.

"Two rockets? Either a good shot or pure dumb luck."

Jacob shouldered the weapon and searched the car. Nothing but a rusted knife.

"Hm...might as well."

Attaching it to his belt, Jacob continued his trek.
