Viktor takes it into his mind that he is going to become one of the Hessian Guard pilots. To accomplish this goal, he begins taking random missions from any and every fellow Hessian he can manage to get. He hunts down countless 'Sairs and Hunter pilots for the Hessians on Ronneburg and Friedstat, the Hessian base he came across in Omega 11. He had never been away from Ronneburg for more than a short trip for training back in his military days. That trip hadn't let him explore or see space as he went by. He was determined to see the other systems, Liberty, Bretonia, and maybe go drink a little with the Molly's of Dublin. He'd done some work for a group of Moly Pilots one time.
So, after gathering a few of his friends, and a couple guys that had some experience, the group set off. Viktor felt the flutter of many butterflies that first few hours out. They managesd to make a few million credits doing the odd jobs around the bases and made some decent contacts for future work as well. Nothing solid, but offers were there.
They first started by picking up a load of 300 Blood Diamonds from the last employer they did work for. It seemed he had a few mining ships out in the radiation pulling in Diamonds for him. However, he said he could use more people to move them. It was kind of a test, kind of an oportunity, open to his effort and ability to decide how much or little he made.
Finally, the Workers.Comp was on its way. Most of the crew were green pilots, Viktor included, but they had managed to hold their own in the Omegas so far, so getting to Liberty and then on to Dublin didn't seem that hard. They set a course for the Stuttgart Jump Gate. The flight thru Rheinland was fairly quiet, until reaching Hamburg and passing a lone Freelancer named Mathew.Haywood.

"Hail there freelancer, want to make a few bucks?" Viktor called over the radio to the man. "I need someone to sell these rocks for me in Colorado. I'll make it worth your time."

It seems that appealing to the mans need for money was the wise course of action, as Mathew replied, "I'm willing to do that."

Viktor told him to meet him in colorado, for his safety, as the Liberty forces would only see his Hessian IFF, and not the man in charge of the ship. He was sure of that, and was quickly proved correct as he came into range of Norfolk Shipyard. There was a small group just hanging around outside, and it didn't bode well for Viktor and the Workers.Comp.

Viktor has the helmsman drop out of the lane a little shy of the shipyard and the nearby batleship, and engage the cruise engines. He hopes to avoid any conflict by just zooming thru. He manages to get by without any of the disruptor missiles catching his tail.
"Engaging Workers Comp." Comms over the system wide channel. And the Liberty Gunboat LM-Uss.Independance zooms into action falling in behind the Workers.Comp
Viktor knows he has the lead, but only by a small margin. This is Liberty, he's heard the horror stories about the fleets of capital ships roaming the lanes to protect the trade of the big companies. He hopes that they are just jokes, blown out of proportion to make the teller seem more fierce than they really are. That the Liberty pilots are all blood thirsty and will just fire on anyone not from their systems.

Viktor's heart sinks as he hears, "This is bounty hunter Cross to Independance, do you need of assistance?" from the Hunter gunboat that had been hanging with the Independance at Norfolk Shipyard.

The expected, "Yes" seems to seal the fate of the crew of the Workers.Comp, and the chase is on in ernest.

Logs of the conversation can be found: Chat log

In the end the LN managed to find the heart to give Viktor a chance, after a 300K+ chase, and Viktor paid 100,000 for a bond to the LN to hold as an equivalent to Bail. It was never found that the Workers.Comp ha ever been in any trouble, tho it did stand accused. In the end the Liberty Naval force actually offered assistance to the Workers.Comp in handling Rheinlander Military types in the future.

Viktor looks back on his visit to Liberty as an interesting one, and laughs at the lack of openness there is to outsiders, especially of any group that may have had bad press. Still, he thinks, It could be the beginning of a new time of allies in the future, I mean heck, if I can drop weed cookies to a Liberty Officer, while he is on duty, well, then anything is possible.

Having gotten clearance from the Liberty Navy, Viktor and the Workers.Comp head to Colorado and make the drop, giving the majority of the profits to the fence that was willing to do the job. The man earned it for his patience and willingness to take such a chance.

Deal finished and nothing left to hold them in Liberty the crew of the Workers.Comp headed thru California towards Bretonia and the Arranmore pilots that Viktor hoped to find when he managed to reach that base. He never imagined he would find a Large Transport ship sporting a Xenos IFF, but as he came past the Kensington junction he caught a peek of the IFF, following it to the Cambridge Gate allowed for a clear picture and confirmation.

A quick cal to the BAF confirmed that the vessel and its company had been experiencing technical dificulties of this sort. Unfortunately enough, as Viktor had oped to get the BAF to go after the pilot leaving New London open for anyone to raise hell.

A quick and uneventful jump to Dublin system was all that was left for the run to Arranmore and into the waiting bar. It was just a matter of time till someone came along or he ran out of money. His crew was hapy, the station was happy as the ship brought almost 30 Corsair pilots and a few Bret government chaps.

Looking into returning, maybe.
