The Gunboat visibly twisted when it hit the airstrip. Through pure luck or extraordinary piloting skill, perhaps both, The SoCred was down. For the most part - It was in one piece. Whether it could be airborne again would be another matter.

Ling couldn't reach the main RV point to the south-west of New Hangzhou. Instead, he had to divert with the wind East to a smaller, abandoned civilian airport.

Moving aft into main engineering, he found the dead bodies of the two deck staff. Ling sighed, no wonder he couldn't reach anyone down here. He moved outside to where the Lt was setting up the sentry gun.
