I saw the greatest movie ever. It was called Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriot. For two hours, I felt like I was playing it.
But that whole cinematic feel is what is killing games. Spectacular events reduced to...quick time button mashes. That's not intuitive, that's just making sure the player doesn't fall asleep during the break in "SHOOT ALL THE THINGS WITH YOUR GUNS!"
Modern Warfare is crap. Their campaigns are about a couple hours in length and it goes along the same predictable path: "Some third world country/the Russians/every other enemy Amurrica and other first world nations had is invading. Shoot them with these varied modern guns."
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
