Greetings.
My name is Steven Allen, former programmer of Ageira Technologies.
My story begins at April 25th when I received a message which changed everything in my life. Before I read it, I was very concerned (and surprised) because the message penetrated the firewall system called "Valor" of my computer. When I realized it was from the Lane Hackers, I immediately tried to delete it and report it to my superiors, because otherwise if they accidentally find it in my computer, my promising career would end and I would spend most of my life in a small cell in Texas.
However something deep inside me prohibited me from doing so. It was an idea. Even though I spent all these years working for Ageira in Planet Denver, and never had a chance to travel to space, I was repeatedly told by Ageira executives that Lane Hackers are evil people, drug addicts, etc in a such repeatitive way that in the end I actually believed it without searching for the truth. But when your message hacked one of the best firewalls Ageira can offer an idea stucked in my mind.
How can you call someone evil when he is better, more intelligent than you? How can you criticize his actions with your inferior mind?
However, I was still concerned. About that time the higher ups learned about this message and started questioning the employees. A week after I received the message I had a discussion with a friend of mine. The discussion had to do with life and he really helped me to set some questions and find an answer in them. I am 28 years old and I work 14 hours each day. Why should I waste the best years of my life working to secure massive profits for a mega corporation? Should I wait to become 50 years old to be thrown away with a large pension after they extensively use all my skills and abilities and stagnate me from ideas? No, I want to live my life now !
